Cookie Policy
Last updated: October 31, 2026
1. What Cookies Are
A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser. Coeffection ("we," "our," or "us") uses cookies to keep you signed in, to protect your account, and to understand how people use our website. This policy explains each kind. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy.
2. Essential Cookies
These cookies are required for the platform to work. They are set only by Coeffection, and they cannot be switched off without breaking sign-in.
- Sign-in session keeps you signed in as you move between pages, and ends when you sign out or the session expires.
- Security tokens protect forms and actions against cross-site request forgery.
- Single sign-on cookies carry a Google or Microsoft sign-in safely back to your account. They last a few minutes.
- Trusted device remembers a device you approved for two-step verification, if you chose that option.
- Last sign-in method remembers whether you last used email, Google, or Microsoft, so the sign-in page can show it first.
- Client portal and shared quotes keep a customer signed in to a portal or a quote link that was shared with them.
3. Analytics Cookies
We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate usage, such as which pages are visited most. Google Analytics sets the _ga and _ga_* cookies, which can last up to two years. We send page paths without query strings, and we never send the names of records you work with in the app.
You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or by blocking these cookies in your browser.
4. Payment Cookies
When you enter card details on a billing page, our payment processor, Square, may set its own cookies to process the payment and prevent fraud. Those cookies are covered by Square's privacy policy.
5. Advertising Cookies
We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not sell data collected through cookies.
6. Controlling Cookies
Every major browser lets you view, block, and delete cookies in its settings. Blocking analytics cookies has no effect on how Coeffection works. Blocking essential cookies will stop you from signing in.
7. Changes and Contact
We may update this policy when the cookies we use change. The date at the top shows the latest version. Questions? Email privacy@coeffection.com.
