See the Story in Your Data

New dashboard trend charts, cleaner reports that show real names instead of ID codes, and smarter catalog search in this week's Coeffection update.

See the Story in Your Data

A few weeks ago, someone on our team pulled up a report to see who was closing the most deals this quarter. Instead of names in the assignee column, they got a wall of long, random letters and numbers. Technically correct, completely unreadable. It is the kind of small annoyance that does not bother you once, but it wears on you by the fifth time you have to ask a teammate which row is theirs.

This week's updates are mostly about closing that gap between what the system knows and what you can actually read at a glance.

Reports that speak plain English

If you build or read reports in Coeffection, you have probably run into a column of IDs where you expected a name. That is fixed now. Reports that group or filter by assignee, or any other multi-value field, show the actual person's name instead of a database code. The filter dropdowns for those columns work the same way, so when you are narrowing a report down to "just Maria's accounts" you are picking Maria from a list, not guessing which string of characters belongs to her.

Date filters got the same kind of polish. Whatever range you choose now displays in a format that reads the way a person would say it out loud, not the way a database would store it. And when you export a report, the file that lands in your downloads folder carries a name that actually tells you what is in it, so you are not digging through a folder of files named after timestamps trying to remember which one was last week's pipeline review.

Watching trends unfold, not just snapshots

Dashboards in Coeffection can now show a proper trend line, the kind that lets you watch something change over time instead of only seeing where it stands today. You can add a chart that plots more than one series at once, so you could watch new leads and closed deals on the same chart and see how they move together.

You also get to decide how zoomed in that picture is. Pick a date range, then choose whether you want it broken down by day, week, or month. Looking at the last quarter week by week tells a very different story than looking at the last two weeks day by day, and now you can flip between those views without rebuilding the chart from scratch.

While we were in there, we also tracked down a handful of dashboard widgets, including leaderboard style ones, that were quietly showing up blank for some users instead of the numbers they were supposed to display. Those are showing real data again.

Finding the right product without digging

Last, if your team works out of the product catalog, quoting jobs or building orders, there is a new way to narrow that catalog down based on what is already true about the record you are working in. Instead of scrolling through every product in the system, the catalog can now filter itself down to what actually applies to the account, project, or job type in front of you. It is a small change on paper, but if you have ever scrolled past forty products that do not apply to hunt for the three that do, you will feel it immediately.

None of these are flashy features you have to learn from scratch. They are the kind of fixes that just make the tool feel like it is finally speaking your language back to you, whether that is a name instead of a code, a trend instead of a snapshot, or a catalog that already knows what you are looking for.
