Privacy note

This is a short summary of what CRM School stores and why. For how Coeffection handles personal data in general, read the Coeffection privacy policy.

Reading the lessons

You do not need to enroll to read. Lessons are open to everyone, and the course does not record who reads them or which lessons they open. As with any website, the server keeps ordinary access logs. This course does not run analytics or advertising trackers.

What we store when you enroll

  • Your name, which is printed on your certificate.
  • Your company, if you gave one.
  • Your email address, which is how you sign in.
  • Whether you ticked the box asking for emails from Coeffection. That box is on the page you reach from the email we send you, not on the form, so only the person who owns the address decides. It starts unticked.

Nothing is saved as an account until you open that email and press the button. Until then, what was typed on the form waits inside the sign-in link, which is removed about a day after it expires.

What we store as you take the course

  • Which lessons you have finished.
  • Each quiz attempt, with your answers and your score.
  • Your certificate, once you earn it. It holds your name as it was on the day it was issued.

A certificate page is public. Anyone who has its link can open it and see your name, the course and the date. Search engines are asked not to index it.

How signing in works

There are no passwords. We email you a link that works once and expires after 15 minutes. We keep only a one-way fingerprint of each link, never the link itself.

Signing in sets one cookie that keeps you signed in for 30 days. It is only sent to the course pages, and scripts on the page cannot read it. We keep only a one-way fingerprint of it too. Logging out removes it.

Limits on sign-in requests

To stop people flooding inboxes, we limit how many sign-in emails go out in an hour: for each email address, for each network address that asks, and across the whole course. The count for an email address comes from the sign-in links we have sent it, which are removed about a day after they expire. The other counts are kept as one-way fingerprints, not readable addresses, and cleared out soon after.

What Coeffection receives

When you first confirm your enrollment, your name, company, email and the choice you made about emails on the confirmation page are passed to Coeffection so its team knows who is taking the course. Coeffection only sends you anything beyond sign-in links if you ticked the box.

Your choices

You can ask Coeffection to show you, correct or delete what is stored about you. The privacy policy above explains how to reach the team.
