What's new: tags, smarter search, and quotes that fit how you price
A new Tags field, search that filters by record type, context chips, quote pricing controls, and a friendlier signing experience. Here is what you can do now.

Picture a Tuesday afternoon. A rep has a quote open, a customer on hold, and a product list that runs for pages. She knows the item she wants. She just can't find it fast.
This week's release is about that moment. Less hunting, more doing. Here is what changed.
Finding things faster
Search got a few quiet upgrades that add up.
The global search bar now has a record-type filter. If you only want contacts, or only quotes, you pick that and the noise goes away. The filter menu also sits properly on top of everything else on the page now, so it no longer hides behind other panels when you open it.
Inside the quote builder, product search gets context chips. These sit above the search box and work like the stage dropdown you already know. Pick a chip, and the product list narrows to what fits that customer or job. Fewer scrolls, fewer wrong picks. The chips are a comfortable, tappable height, and long field values now wrap onto their own line so you can actually read them.
The products list also has a family filter, plus new columns for attributes and custom fields. If your team tracks the details that matter to you, you can now see them right in the list instead of opening each item.
And a small fix many of you will notice: when you search and the results include linked records, those links now show up correctly, even for inherited ones.
A new way to organize: Tags
Sometimes a dropdown is too rigid. You want to label a record with a few words, the way you would label a folder.
That is what the new Tags field is for. Add it to any record type, and your team can attach as many tags as they like to a record. Tags are scoped to the field they live in, so the tags on one field do not mix with another. Then you can filter lists by tag and find the group you need.
While we were there, we fixed a small annoyance. When you change a filter on a list, the rows you were looking at now stay put while the new results load, instead of flashing away.
The formula builder got friendlier too. Parts of a formula now show up as chips. Click one to edit it in place. No more retyping a whole formula to change one number.
Quotes that match how you price
Quotes are where a lot of the work lives, so they got the most attention.
Margin is now a fixed input. You set the margin you want, and it stays what you set. It is no longer something the system works out behind your back. If you say 30 percent, you get 30 percent.
Charges can now use different pricing methods. A flat fee, a per-unit amount, or something else that suits the line. This makes it easier to price installs, fabrication, and other work that does not follow one simple rule.
If you bring quotes in from an outside estimating tool, there is more here for you. You can connect it from your inbound sources settings. Once connected, you can look up the status of a quote that came from that tool, and the pricing flows through cleanly. Where a quote came from is now recorded as a link on the record itself, so the origin is always easy to trace. Admins can use this same idea for any source, not just one tool.
A few finishing touches on the quote itself:
- Totals have Excel-style borders and a clearer text color, so a quote reads like the spreadsheets people trust.
- You can pin columns in the quote so the important ones stay visible as you scroll sideways.
- The editor now cleans up an older saved layout when it opens, so old quotes do not look off.
- "Prepared by" is hidden by default, and "Date signed" stays blank until someone actually signs. No more dates that look done when they are not.
- The signing panel can be dragged out of the way, so your customer can see the document while they sign.
Two more things that keep your data tidy. When you change a single-value link to a new record, the old links are cleaned up completely. And when you rename a record, the names of the things built from it update to match, so you are not left with half the system saying the old name.
Back to that Tuesday afternoon. The rep opens the quote, taps a chip, and the right product is on top. She sets her margin, pins the columns she needs, and sends it off for signing. Nothing dramatic. It just takes a few minutes less.
That is the goal, every week. Try it out, and tell us what slows you down next.
